January Cure- Assignment 12
This is a January Cure assignment I've been waiting for... a day to work on my project.
I've already shared some pictures of the kitchen cabinets being painted. And I've been working on it for so long now that I'm not even bothered anymore by the naked cabinets. It's not really difficult work but it does get tedious and there's so much downtime waiting for the paint to dry. I totally get it why the phrase "it's like watching paint dry" exists. I much prefer to be able to plow through a project start to finish quickly, but this one is not like that. Patience is a virtue, I guess. I only have a few touch up spots to do before the final clear coat goes on, so the end is nearing.
I'll eventually write a whole post up on the process but for now I’m still learning. For instance, I learned that if you’re going to stack up your painting project mid-go because friends are coming over for pizza, don’t put said project near the pizza because sauce will be spilled. But bright side, it wiped up no problem even though I didn’t see it until the next day. I guess it was good to learn that early?
Starting that final coats soon so the doors can be back on!
