January Cure Wrap up!
Hi All!
Welcome to February! Same quarantine, different month! And some of the same old stuff, but a couple new updates, care of the January Cure.
We’ve made it through another January Cure with Apartment Therapy. Virtual pat on the back to anyone who joined in this year! After staying home for as long as we all have, it was nice to have guidance on ways to look at and refresh our space.
I’m glad the big weekend chores are out of the way, and happy about the small progresses I’ve made around the house. I ended up picking two projects for this go round. First, I wanted to brighten the corner of the living room that had the wood stove. I looked at so many different solutions to bring actual light into the corner, but for now accessorizing was all I could do. Some greenery, pictures and a vase brought a bit of style to the space. I’m not totally happy with it, but once we can actually go out shopping again I’ll be on the hunt for the perfect additions. Since this project was a bit of a non-starter, I picked a second project that I knew I could easily execute.
I finally completed (well, almost) the photo gallery wall I’ve been planning in my head for at least six months. The only part left is picking and printing the pictures. Hopefully this weekend that part will be finished so I can check off finishing both projects from the January Cure!
I’m glad this got done, and now I’ve gotten the itch to finish the entryway updates. We’ve been planning on changing out the flooring and redoing the ceiling planks. Jon even promised me to let me use some power tools this time since he likes to be the one in charge of the fun stuff, haha. The good thing is it’s a small space, and none of the changes should impact our ability to use the space for too long.
Be on the lookout for more posts soon!
