Oops! Cure Wrap Up!

Our landing strip, enough space for our jackets, backpacks, and some shoes. Barely in the picture on the left is our key rack and another small catchall.

I’m sure you’ve all been waiting on the edge of your seat for this Cure wrap up post! I wrote it weeks ago (seriously, it was written in January) but I just didn’t notice that it didn’t post. So here it goes!

It appears third time (week) was not the charm. Everything went by the wayside, starting with everyone having off Monday to a double wisdom tooth removal for me on Wednesday. Not going to lie, stuff just did not get done around here last week like they usually would have. But that’s ok. I used my time recuperating to binge watch some tv and enjoy some pudding. And mull over paint choices for the living and dining room since you know that’s still up in the air.

Here’s a rundown of how the week went…

Monday was supposed to be hang some artwork day, but I didn’t hang anything new really. I did use the opportunity to rearrange some of the wall hangings in my youngest’s room though, so it kind of counts, right?

Tuesday was work on your project day, but I mainly used it to lament my choices on buying a heat gun in the first place to remove paint that was perfectly fine the way it was, thank you very much.

Wednesday was the day for getting your sofa into shape, cleaning it and all that good stuff, but the only shape our couch got in was from the indentation of my body. I did adjust my position occasionally to account for any extra wear and tear though. I also continued to stare at the walls, imagining what paint colors I actually want to see.

Thursday was a surface sweep, getting rid of all the “whatever” laying about. I did not enforce this because I was still that whatever laying about and did not want to relocate. I did put my ice pack away after using it though, so win!

Friday I was actually starting to feel better and was grateful that the weekend task of clean the bedroom was spread out over a couple days so I could actually complete something. Those somethings wouldn’t really be completed until Sunday when I went to cleaning basically everything because I had to finally report back into work three days a week.

The final week wanted us to set up a landing strip to put things when we walk in the door, clean the bathroom, take stock of linens, empty the outbox, reset the living room and enjoy the new space. Suffice to say, I finished the Cure, short some details. I didn't empty the donation pile since I wait for a coupe boxes and know I’ll have more to add. And I still need new to buy new hand towels. It looks like this January Cure is going to turn into a “Winter Cure” for me, but that’s a-ok in my book!
