Weekend Cure- Spring Style!
I forgot to post this over the weekend. Whoops! Can you blame me though? It was almost 70 degrees outside and not at all the January weekend we expect in Jersey.
On top of all the usual weekend chores, we made sure to spend as much time as we could outside. This means assembling the trampoline we got for Christmas and pretending that we’re in April. One of the things I love most about living in Jersey is the climate. I love the change of seasons and the things that they each bring. And I’ll admit, it did get me start thinking about all the flowers and plants that we’ll be planting this year.
But we’re still in January and along with the possible snow this coming weekend, it means it’s the first weekend January Cure assignment- cleaning the floors! Joke’s on them though, after both kids got sick my floors we already started! Nothing makes you deep clean those floors more than gross germs and a crawling baby! Score one for the stomach virus!
I really like this task because it reminds me to really find the hidden dust in the house though. We have hardwood floors and tile throughout and not only do I love the look but I love how easy they clean and how I can know they’re clean. But this task reminds me to make sure I’m getting all the dust under the sofas, under the beds and everywhere else that the vacuum and mops don’t usually reach.
I did forget to do the second part of the weekend task though- buy some fresh flowers! I remembered when I was taking the girls out for a walk because we usually look for the flowers growing along the trail but, hellooo! It’s January so the flowers are gone! I think that means next weekend I should get two bouquets :)
